December 2010 - Woodford Folk Festival Festival

Woodford invites you to participate in a series of Stilt acrobatics and physical theatre workshops over the festival. Join the Stilt Walkers for the 'Get on Up' Stilt Crew, become one of our 2 & 4 legged performing giants to feature in The Fire Event. You will be coached and costumed. Must be a solid stilt walker and have your own stilts. Numbers are limited and there are only a few places left. email Eve Everard at eve.everard@gmail.com to get involved!

About the company

Long Shadow Stilt Theatre present a unique style of physical theatre.
We work around the world with the highest level of stilt acrobatic skill. Our troupe members have performed in Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, England, Ireland, Finland, Sweden and Singapore.

Long Shadow use a range of stilt lengths, from short acro peg stilts, to heights that have us looking down on the roofs of houses. Our aerial apparatus' range from ropes and slings to counterweighted transitional single point, swinging, spinning trapezes. Ground work, movement, partner work and acrobatics are also integrated into our performances. Our cast are story tellers, weaving ancient folk tales, dreams and gothic romances into exciting movement theatre, with a twist of new circus.
